Help & support
Answers to common questions about the Fuelsy iPhone app. Still stuck? Email support@fuelsy.co.uk, or use Settings › Support › Send Feedback in the app, which fills in the details we need.
Prices and stations
Why is the price at the pump different?
Retailers report their prices to the government's Fuel Finder scheme, and Fuelsy checks for new ones every 2 minutes. A retailer can change a pump price before its report catches up, so always check the price at the pump. Each price shows how long ago it was reported, and prices that have probably changed are marked and never count as the cheapest.
How do I report a wrong price?
Open the station in the app, scroll down and tap Report an Issue. It goes directly to GOV.UK's Fuel Finder service.
Why can't I see stations near me?
Fuelsy needs your location to find stations nearby. Turn it on in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security › Location Services › Fuelsy › While Using the App, or search for a postcode or town instead.
Which fuels does Fuelsy cover?
Unleaded (E10), super unleaded (E5), diesel (B7), premium diesel, B10 and HVO, wherever a station reports them. Choose yours in the app's Settings › Fuel Type.
Alerts and notifications
How do price alerts work?
With Fuelsy Pro, open a station and set a price alert with your target price. Fuelsy checks prices every 2 minutes and sends a notification when that station drops below your target. Area alerts watch every station around a place you choose.
Why am I not getting notifications?
Check that notifications are allowed for Fuelsy in the iPhone Settings app under Notifications, and that Push Notifications is on in Fuelsy's Settings. A Focus can also hold notifications back.
Fuelsy Pro
What does Fuelsy Pro include?
Price alerts, SmartFuel's price insights, home screen widgets, Live Activities, the Apple Watch app and Siri Shortcuts, among others. The Fuelsy Pro screen in the app lists everything.
How does the free trial work?
If a plan offers a free trial, you aren't charged until it ends, and Fuelsy can remind you two days before. Cancel before then and you won't pay.
How do I cancel?
In the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Fuelsy › Cancel Subscription. You can get there from Fuelsy's Settings too. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
How do I get Pro back on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Fuelsy's Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles payments and refunds for App Store subscriptions. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Garage
Where do vehicle details come from?
When you add a vehicle by its registration, Fuelsy looks it up with the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service and the DVSA MOT History API. If a detail is wrong, it needs correcting with the DVLA.
Can Fuelsy remind me about my MOT and tax?
Yes. If you allow notifications, Fuelsy reminds you before a vehicle's MOT or tax runs out.
Privacy and feedback
Do I need an account?
No. Fuelsy works without an account. If you turn on notifications, your favourites and alerts go to our server under a random ID for your iPhone, never your name, email address or Apple Account, so it can send the alerts you set. Our privacy policy has the details.
What does Send Feedback include?
Send Feedback, in the app's Settings › Support, opens an email to support@fuelsy.co.uk with your app version, iOS version, iPhone model and whether you have Fuelsy Pro, plus up to three crash reports from the last 30 days stored on your iPhone. You see everything before you send it and can delete anything you'd rather not share.
Contact us
Email support@fuelsy.co.uk about anything to do with the app. From the app, Settings › Support › Send Feedback writes the email for you with your app version, iOS version and iPhone model, and any recent crash reports, so we can look into a problem straight away.
